The round long line by Bueno DOG is an essential tool for working with your dog — perfect for recall training, tracking, fieldwork and everyday off-road walks. We handcraft each line from durable, waterproof round PVC cord with a 6 mm diameter. Thanks to its round profile, the line glides freely through grass, bushes and branches — it won't snag, slow your dog down or pick up debris from the ground.

• 270 kg break strength — despite the slim 6 mm diameter, this line is remarkably strong. Suitable for small and medium breed dogs.

Who is it for?

• Recall training — practise the "come" command at a safe distance while giving your dog a sense of freedom.

• Tracking and fieldwork — the round profile glides through undergrowth without slowing down a tracking dog. The no-handle version won't catch on branches or ground obstacles.

• Dogs with high prey drive — if you can't let your dog off-lead in the woods, a long line gives them freedom while you stay in control.

Customisation options

Every long line from Bueno DOG is handmade to order. You can choose:

• Hardware colour — silver, black, rose gold or gold

• Length — from 5 m to 15 m (in 1-metre increments)

• Line colour — wide range of colours including high-visibility options for better terrain visibility

• Main clip — spring snap (sizes S, M, XL), trigger snap (S, M), brass (spring or trigger), aluminium (including versions with screw lock, swivel lock and auto-lock carabiner)

• End finish — open end (no handle), handle loop, O-ring (black/silver/gold or brass)

• Detachable handle (optional, with O-ring end) — handle made from flat webbing with a clip in your chosen hardware colour

How to choose the right clip?

Pay close attention to the clip selection — it is responsible for your dog's safety on the line. The clip should match your dog's size and temperament:

• Spring snap S — for small, calm dogs. Lightweight and compact.

• Spring snap M — a versatile choice for small to medium breed dogs.

• Spring snap XL — for medium and larger dogs that need a stronger clip.

• Trigger snap S / M — allows quick release even under full tension. Great for fieldwork.

• Brass — exceptionally resistant to rust and impact, won't freeze in cold weather. Heavier but more durable. Recommended for strong or energetic dogs.

• Aluminium — lightweight and strong. Available with screw lock, swivel lock or auto-lock mechanism for maximum security.

How to choose the right length?

• 5–7 m — ideal for urban walks, pavements and parks. Enough for everyday use and basic recall practice.

• 8–10 m — the most popular choice for field training, tracking work and general off-road use.

• 11–15 m — for advanced distance training, working dogs or situations requiring maximum freedom while maintaining control.

Care

This long line requires no special maintenance. After a walk, simply rinse with water — once dry, it looks as good as new. For stubborn dirt, wipe with a soft sponge. No waterproofing, oiling or any other treatment needed.
